You know what you used to be able to do with Blogger? Start a post, finish it even days later, and it would still post as if it had been published the day you began writing it. I miss being able to lie to my readers like that. Sigh.
So, I'm pretty good at English. I'm not the best, and I'm not amazing, but I get words. It just comes naturally to me. Because of that, I am almost literally skating through my English Composition class this semester. (It would be much more close to being literal if I could, in reality, skate.) I will be honest with you and say that it has, at times, become boring. But I want to tell you about the very not boring part of it!
Every week, we have an online journal to write, along with our regular homework. The first few journals were a lot like mini book reports, but on speeches - Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, and the like. However, the last five are on online articles written by humorist Dave Barry (one of his articles).
Yesterday I was working on catching up on my journals, as I still had to write comments on some of my classmates' entries ("to stimulate thoughtful discussion" or some such thing), and went ahead and wrote all but the last journal. :) And I had fun, because I personally find Dave Barry hilarious. Even if I don't get anything out of this class except for an A+ grade and having been introduced to Dave Barry, I will be very happy.
So now I'm a month ahead in my English homework and laughed for about half an hour yesterday.
And seriously? You should click on that link. You will laugh, I promise. :)
Keep on smiling!
