I got a car today! A red/burgundy 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix! And Heather was the first person to ride in it with me! We went and got Mountain Dew from the gas station where the awesome singing guy works. Anyway, I love it! I have decided that it is probably a girl, and my current top choice for a name is Geneva. I haven't decided yet, though, because Ian hasn't seen her/it, and I want his opinion.
But yes! I "moved in" to her/it today, and will be vacuuming/detailing her/it tomorrow and Wednesday morning. :) I moved my CDs into the little console thing and have fixed the radio the way I want it, and am figuring out her/it's little tics and eccentricities. I think she/it and I are going to have a lot of fun together. And, tonight, as Heather and I were driving down the road, Heather looked at me happily and said, "We're getting closer to Saint Louis all the time!" And I was happy. Yay!
I also started my new (AWESOME) job at Starbucks yesterday (4/9), but it still feels like today because I haven't been to bed yet because I wanted to post here because I didn't last week like I was supposed to because the last week has been unusually stressful and I didn't want to dump that on you. :) And did I mention that I get free drinks while on the job at Starbucks? So I had caffeine today in the form of a Raspberry Caffe Latte. Hehe! Which is probably also part of why I am still awake. Well, that, and the Mountain Dew. And the rush from the go-go-go!-ness of today.
But it was such a relief to go to Heather's house and just hang out and talk with her for a couple of hours! Besides hanging with Ian, I think my very favorite way to relax and wind down in to chill out with my Heather. And, no, I'm not just saying that. Yeah, she's probably the second-easiest person in the world for me to butt heads with, but most of the time I can't think of a better way to wind down than to crash for a while with my strawberry blonde sister. :) Just wanted to put that out there.
Well, I have to work in the morning, and get Geneva(?) her "nametag" before then! So, I'll chat with you all a little later!
